Commentary: My favorite line in this chapter is the first one by Bill: Which is, “Who the fuck is she?” Lol. It's a deep aspect, and maybe something that I learned within the music world. But no matter how pretty the girl is, the body guard always takes a second look at whoever gets into the SUV. And they will never hesitate to ask. “Who the fuck is she?” Haha

See HOME? 1 to get caught up on the story.

The black SUVs arrive at Charles’ private aircraft which has the number 02032 on the tail, symbolizing the year when Paragon was recognized. Sisa looks at it, surprised as they pull up. The aircraft is small, but as she looks at the tail she realizes that it isn’t as small as it seems. Sisa walks under the wing, which is just above her 5'7 height. She sees the lights on the wing tips, noticing how well the green bulb looks with the dark setting at two o’clock in the morning.

As she is let out of the vehicle by the driver, Abe guides her to the plane. He looks to the left, and notices that Bill is looking at Sisa, and then gives him a swift glare. He walks towards Abe. Abe already knows what it is about. He tells Sisa to board the plane.

Bill

“Little Dalton. I don’t mind you bringing your ladies around. But you know I like to know ahead of time. I’m going to let this one go.”

Abe

    “I know, Bill, I know.”

                              Bill

“I’m serious Abe. I don’t think you realize how things have changed.”

Abe flashbacks to the bombing of Paragon and his dad talking about being held hostage. He comes back to reality.

Abe

“Just this one, Bill. Just this one.”

Bill

“Alright, son.”

As Abe is about to walk away, Bill grabs him.

Bill

“She is fine as a thing though. Get a couple strokes in for me.”

Abe’s forehead wrinkles. He squints his eyes. It’s been so long that he forgot how disgusting Bill can be. Especially for a fifty-two year old man. Although Bill is engrossed in ensuring that Charles is protected, deep inside, he also loves women. So he gives Abe a pass. Simply because Sisa is BAD.

Sisa gets on the Jet stairs as she waits for Abe.

Abe

“Why didn’t you get on yet?”

Sisa

“That would have been rude, sir.  I already feel like the slut you met in the club, that’s flying on the private jet with the ballers.”

Abe (chuckles)

“I hope that’s not the case.”

Abe gets lost in her eyes. As they stare, Charles’s assistant, Orchid, walks by.  She elbows Abe in the back.

Abe

“Oh yeah. Don’t hate.”

Bill comes up from the background.

                               Bill

“Yeah, don’t hate, Orchid. We gonna do the same thing when you see Anthony in Miama. You’re gonna be blushing.”

Bill pushes his face out. He is such a character. And big. Like a big bear. But don’t let his supposedly cuddly personality fool you. He’ll shoot a person when he cuts that other side on.

Orchid laughs and gets on the plane.

                                Abe looks at Sisa.

“C’mon, babe. You’re like family. I’ve never brought anyone on one of these.”

He thinks of Telda but pushes the thought out of his head.

As they get on the plane, Sisa looks at the fine oak wood on the edges of the floor, the arm rests, and the ceiling; the ambient lighting, and how the air smells with the specially catered food that is in the back. She forgets that it is two o’clock in the morning.

She sits in her seat which is twice the size of an airliner’s seat, and more plush than the best first class seat. Abe gets on, shadow beard and all. He looks at his dad who is obviously feeling the champagne that he drank.

                                 Abe

               “Pops. You okay back there?”

Bills country accent comes back.

                                 Bill

“I’m sure he ain’t gonna do any drankin’ for the next year or so.”

                               Charles

“Whatever, guys. Say what you want.”

Charles leans his seat back, and cuts the TV monitor on. It has a camera of Paragon which showcases the sun setting right off the coast. He looks at the buildings which have been reconstructed in no time. He notices how the bioluminescent trees and streets are beginning to light up as the sun goes down. Charles flashes back to being held at gunpoint and looking at Olympia’s President Grover in the eyes. He thinks how it all could have been prevented. All the other ways he could have prevented the loss of hundreds of lives. But the sound of his mom’s voice comes into his head as he rests his head back.

                                 Bill

“Chucky, it could have been worse. You are alive. Abe is alive. Paragon is alive. Sometime it takes pain to finally                            give birth.”

It seemed insensitive when she’d said it to him. But then he had to remember who was saying it. It was one of the few times that his mom has even said the name ‘Paragon’. All this time she was negative about his ambitions; about him living on the other side of the earth. About him building a new nation. She never supported it, never mentioned it. She never visited, nor does she plan to. It’s a big void in his life. But after seeing what he went through, it finally gave her the ability to relate. To understand what he is doing. The whole experience is bittersweet to Charles. People died, but the country was born. The country overcame an invasion. It still hasn’t replicated the Roma Empire. It still stands. Although his mom hasn’t visited, her words comfort him. She knows it is real.

Looking at his country that he’s built, Charles tears up for a moment. Abe walks up. Charles wipes the tear immediately.

         Abe

 “You sleepy?”

Charles looks up.

                               Charles

"Yeah, I can’t hang with you young timers.” The old man is old.

This is the first time in a while that Abe and Charles have had a moment with each other. They are both busy on two different plateaus. Abe in the sky, defending and training, while Charles is making his magic on the ground. Creating and Building. Though Charles provides for Abe, he knows he hasn’t been the dad that he wants to be.

                                  Charles

“Abe, I had fun with you last night. I felt like your brother.  Looking back, you kissing that girl. You know Telda                                  will kill you if she finds out.”

Abe looks to the front of the plane. Where Sisa is sitting, looking at a magazine. She seems to be debating whether to pick it up or not. Abe likes the way she is uptight at the moment.

                                     Abe

“She has been acting crazy to me. She just pushes and pulls.”

                                   Charles

“That’s what women do, Abe. BUT I will not tell you you are wrong. You are young. Have fun.”

                                     Abe

“I just met the chick anyway, Dad. So who knows.”

He looks at Sisa. Noticing her sexy leg sticking out in the aisle.

                                 Abe

“She is just a cool chick anyway. I’m really not looking for anything. Plus, all those years and years of flight                                       school. I haven’t had my chance to have become that true Olympian.”

He hits his dad’s shoulder. And walks away.

Charles looks at his son walk towards the front of the plane.

                               Sisa

“So you aren’t going to fly us?”

                              Abe

“Well. One, I am intoxicated. And two, I am on break. I’m not flying a damn thing till I get back to                                                     Paragon.”

                            Sisa

“So how is it living there?”

                          Abe

“Just like living here. Just a bit different.”

                          Sisa

“You know I am freakin’ nervous now. But I get a good vibe about you.”

                          Abe

“You’ll be fine. We’re the good guys.”

                           Sisa

“Still, Abe. I’m on the plane with six men, and one chick that I just met in a club. Come on, Abe. I am a                                             lady at the end of the day.”

                           Abe

“I picked that up, also. Well, other than you sitting on my lap.”

                           Sisa

"  I told you my feet weren’t hurting. Heck, you are a good looking guy, who wasn’t thirsty for a woman.                                            I knew what I was doing.”

Abe’s phone rings. He tells Sisa that he will be right back, and he moves to his seat. He answers. It’s Telda.

                           Telda

"So you’re just going to ignore me?"

                           Abe

“How do you think I feel when I try to call you?”

                          Telda

“Look, all I am calling you about is Captain is planning some test missions for us in a few days. That’s                                                 it.”

                           Abe

                     "That’s it.”

He leans towards the window, away from Sisa.

                            Abe

“That’s it? Nothing else to talk about?”

                            Telda

                     “Nope.”

She hangs up.

                          Abe

“This is what confuses me. You do crap like this.”

He hears his phone alert him that she has hung up. He sets the phone down.

                             Sisa

                     "Girlfriend?”

                            Abe (deep breath)

                    “Nope. Something like an ex.”

                             Sisa

                     “So an ex girl?”

                              Abe

“Nope. Not even that. What about you?”

                                Sisa

                      “Divorced.”

                               Abe

                      “How old are you?”

                                Sisa

                      “Old enough to drink.”

He looks closer at her.

                             Abe

                      “No, seriously.”

                              Sisa

                       “Low thirties. That’s all you’re getting. Young’n.”

                            Abe

“So you know how old I am?”

                            Sisa

“You mind if I use this blanket? I am tired. I have been up since six a.m. I got on the plane per your request.                              But now I will like to enjoy this comfy ass seat, and get some rest. Although my bed at home is a lot more                                comfy.”

Abe looks at Sisa, the attorney, as she pulls her hair back into a ponytail. She lies down on the large seat of the private jet. She is just his type. Similar to Telda.

                             Abe

“Would you like a change of clothes? We have sweats and shirts in the back of the plane.”

                              Sisa

“No, I’m fine in these. I threw the leggings I had on in my purse. I’ll see you when we land, mister.”

She turns around, and lies in the seat, which is reclined. She turns her ass towards Abe, and her dress rises up. Abe looks. He sees every cheek of hers through the spandex...

She looks up.  Gives him an eye. Then covers it up with her blanket. Abe thinks, “Why did I bring this girl on the plane?”

He reaches his hand over to touch her ass. By the time his fingers reach it. He feels two nails on his wrist.

   Sisa (facing away from Abe)

“Damn, sir. You couldn’t even wait a minute. I know she is swell back there. The captain can’t resist                                           temptation?”

                             Sisa

                   “Goodnight, mister.”

Abe leans back; wondering why he brought this random chick, well, woman, onto his father’s private plane, into his camp; into a very tight and secured circle. She is pretty, just like all of them. He has a good vibe about her. But he also feels dumb about it. He doesn't know who she is dealing with. She could be a chick that does this with any rich guy. Or, she could be a woman who lies about her career and field that she works in.

Or she is a girl that he knew in college.

Abe

“Sisa? Wait, Sisa, where are you from?

                          Sisa

“You really think I will get on a plane with a total stranger, Squid?”

Abe is startled. He looks at Sisa and studies her face. Memories fade back to black and white moments of them in the Olympia Air Force together.

                           Abe

                 “Wait. Teresa?”

Sisa looks at Abe.

 Sisa

“I haven't used that name ever since we were cadets”

Abe thinks about it. He thinks about the woman who served in the same unit as he did back when he was in the Olympian Air Force, this being before he permanently moved to Paragon. Sisa was in the group, and was a very feminine woman. She was studying law, while everybody else had a more technical focus. Like Abe, who was a pilot.

                   Abe

“Wow! I knew it was something. So are you still in the service?”

   Sisa

“It’s quite embarrassing on your end that you forgot this ‘pretty face’ as you say. And no, I got out way                                     before all of the nonsense began. You know how many suits I would have had to defend if I stayed                                         in? With all the corruption going on? Heck, no.  Goodnight, Abe Dalton.”

Sisa turns her back, covers herself into the large leather seat of the private aircraft. Her window shade is open, and the moon beams light through, shining on her face. Abe reaches over and closes it to give her time to rest.

Abe wonders in his mind. How did he end up not knowing a girl with whom he’d become best friends back when he was attending classes at flight school?

The Next Day

------

After enjoying Anthony’s’ game, the crew is back on the plane, en route to Paragon. A typical fast turnaround for Charles and Abe.

When Abe was young, quick trips like these were a norm. It is not dissimilar to being a pilot. He is used to traveling. Sisa sits on the plane wearing a new set of clothes that she bought while she was in Miama. She still is in awe that she is being totally spontaneous, and has just gotten on a plane to Paragon. But, in a way, she already knows Abe.

 Sisa

“I can’t believe that I am actually on my way to the other side of the world. How random is this shit?”

  Abe

“Very. But hey, you know me already so that should make it easier. I knew there was some reason that I                                  was comfortable with you. ’Cause I never really let chicks around my father like that. Nor do I have the                                  time to entertain.”

Abe meets her eyes, and once again, he reaches in to kiss her. Her body reacts. She grabs him and holds him.

 Sisa

“For one, Abe. We will not reignite anything from the past. And two, I saw that you have somebody                                        calling you throughout the day. What’s up with that?”

Abe sits down in the seat. He looks around then closes the section he and Sisa are sitting in so he can get privacy from Bill, Orchid, Charles, and the other crew.

He looks down.

 Abe

 “I’m single. Simple as that.”

Sisa

“I saw her name, Abe. Remember, friends first.  Can we build a little trust, at the very least?

Abe

“Look. I love the chick. But I can’t control how she acts. She pushes me away. So what am I to do?                                           Hold on? Wait? Hope? Fuck that.”

He looks at her thighs. She gives him a demure look. She holds back. She then begins to feel the plane shake, due to turbulence. Her eyes dig deeply into Abe. It’s transient. They are in a zone. It intensifies the moment. Their veins begin to swell. Abe grabs her hands and rubs them. They begin to sweat. The plane begins to get hot.

It shifts.

It jolts.

Her juices start to warm up.

Her thighs tighten up.

She begins to vibrate.

Abe’s instincts come into play..... He looks...

The turbulence again rocks the plane and it shifts. In Sisa’s mind, she wonders if she is in a frenzy. Thoughts about receiving what she wants, especially since they are in a closed section of the plane, separate from the others on board.

But the plane takes a sudden dive

Sisa grabs the seat tightly and gasps. Abe stumbles on to her and looks into her eyes. Noticing her fear, his instincts kick in and he straps her seat belt in. "Click, click." Sisa is secured.  Abe runs to the back, looks at Charles, Bill, Orchid and her friends, and one more passenger who jumped on board.

Abe

“Strap up! We are in a hostile situation. Stay calm. Stay seated!  I will handle this shit. No worries.”

Bill

“What is going on, Abe? Can I help!”

Abe

“No, Bill! Sit down! Stay by my down and the girls!”

Abe is knocked down by the plane’s sudden drop. He gets back up, using every muscle in his body. He is wondering what is going on with the pilots.

Abe feels the plane go up and down and dodge. Almost as if they were dodging missiles. He struggles up to the front of the cockpit, passing Sisa who is nervous.

Abe forces the cockpit door open. He looks to the right, sees the first officer struggling to keep the plane afloat at thirty thousand feet in the sky. He looks to the left, and sees that the captain is passed out. Lying on his left side, with his mouth open. Abe sees he has blood in his mouth.

Abe

                    What’s going on up here?!
